Gustavo

With over 30 years of experience in high-volume and custom finishing rooms, Gustavo has mastered the delicate balance between chemical science and hand-crafted aesthetics. He doesn’t just paint cabinets; he engineers finishes that last a life time. When Gustavo is not at work, you will likely find him at a campsite or travelling the world with his family.

Oscar

Oscar is a highly skilled furniture maker with over a decade of experience in fine woodworking. A graduate with distinction in Furniture Studies, he spent five years at the renowned Edward Barnsley Workshop refining his expertise in traditional joinery and wood machining. He is equally at home with technical CAD design as he is with hand tools and heavy machinery.
Originally from the UK, Oscar recently moved to Canmore to enjoy the beautiful Rockies. Outside the workshop, he is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, music, and art, and is currently braving the slopes to learn snowboarding.

Quentin

Quentin is a skilled Cabinetmaker with experience in both France and Montreal. Known for his efficiency and attention to detail, he quickly adapts to new tools, techniques and design trends. A fast learner and strong team player, Quentin thrives in collaborative environments while maintaining a high standard of workmanship. Outside of the shop, he enjoys mountain biking and fishing – activities that reflect his patience , focus and love for the nature.

Milo

Born and raised in Calgary, Milo is our newest Apprentice who brings energy and precision to the shop. He completed his Pre-Employment Cabinet Making Certificate with SAIT, where he built a strong foundation in woodworking techniques and shop safety. Outside the workshop, you will find him on slops snowboarding or jamming as a dedicated musician.

Brice

Originally from France, Brice brings international experience and refined craftsmanship to the team. After earning his diploma in cabinetmaking, he spent two years honing his skills in Montreal, building a strong reputation for quality and attention to detail. Meticulous in his work and always wearing a friendly smile, Brice is as approachable as he is skilled. He’s also a talented linguist, fluent in French and English; conversational in Spanish — making him a true asset in any workshop or team.

Shaun

Born and raised in Canmore, Shaun joined us as a Cabinetmaker Apprentice in 2022 and obtained his Journeyman Cabinetmaker Certificate in 2025. Shaun is passionate about wooden boats and has apprenticed at a small boat shop in Maine, later studied traditional boatbuilding in Norway, and spent some time volunteering at a wooden boat museum in the Basque Country. With a keen eye for detail and the drive to keep learning, Shaun has developed strong drafting skills and is now a leader in our drafting department.  Shaun enjoys hiking, cycling and backcountry camping.

Markus

Markus earned his journeyman cabinet maker ticket in Germany in 1998 before relocating to Alberta in 2004. While in Edmonton and Calgary, he spent 6 years on the bench before transitioning to the lead installation role. Markus will put on many miles on both his adventure and pedal bike. When the weather turns, he enjoys reading Scandinavian crime novels and listening to music.

Serhii

Serhii joined us in 2017 as a Cabinetmaker. He has extensive knowledge with CNC machining and ornate high end woodwork. He brings years of experience and knowledge to our team. Serhii enjoys spending time with his family, and getting out doors, biking and walking in his free time.

Rudi

Rudi has been with us over 15 years as a Journeyman Cabinetmaker and brings a wealth of experience to the table. Rudi started his woodworking career in 1985 in Germany after receiving his Cabinetmaking Diploma. In 2010 Rudi and his wife became permanent residents in Canada and settled in the Bow Valley. Since then he enjoys working for Canmore Woodcrafters and takes advantage of the abundance of activities this country and especially the Bow Valley has to offer. He likes to hike, bike and paddle in the summer and XC ski and snowboard in the winter.

Jack

Jack is an Architectural Technologist with 9 years of construction detailing and 25 years of project management experience. Dirt roads, trout streams and alpine lakes are the best locations to find Jack on his off days.
